TITUSVILLE — For most of their time on the cross country course at Chain of Lakes Park on Saturday morning, Taylor Hickey of Rockledge and Blake Robison of Melbourne engaged in a duel for the Cape Coast Conference boys title, and Hickey raced Blake to the finish line.

Then, mud-spattered and spent, they embraced and walked off, oblivious to cries of "Awesome!" and "That was a sick race!" from fellow runners.
